Very clean Great staff Close to city center

Small shower 15 minute walk from train station

We had a nice, clean and quiet room, spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The location was fantastic by the main street close to lots of shops, bars, restaurants etc. A great choice for us, would definitely go back!

We had a lovely balcony with a sea view. The hotel is in a good location near the city centre which worked as a perfect base to explore the area around Sorrento. The staff were friendly and can speak fluent english.

The breakfast although offering many options was a bit samey. Mainly bread and cake based.

The room was big and comfy. Also it was spotless which is always a plus. I was given a code for free wifi and the restaurant was really very good.

We were not able to use internet from our room. We had to go to the common area. The rooms were not cleaned well.

The staff at the Hotel Rivage were extrememly helpful and kind. They did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable. The terrace at the hotel for drinks and meals is wonderful and the food is good. My only complaint was that the shower head in my room sprayed water all over the bathroom but very little on me! And also the air-conditioning was turned off from 7 am till 2:45 pm every day, which I understand is standard procedure for budget hotels. The location is great for shopping on the main street in town and the main piazza is only a ten minute walk away.

The location is good, near to the city center but not so noisy. The room was quite big. The restaurant is cheap, the view is nice. The stuff (except the older gentleman) is polite.

There is only a fastened shower head in the bathroom. The water pressure is not sufficient. The water temperature is only lukewarm. There is a rude and impolite older “manager” in the reception. He doesn’t greet the guests. Never. Even in the desk or on the corridor. If the guest greet him, he doesn’t answer. I tried in English and in Italian. He just stared at me. On the second day I gave up and told him only the room number. He doesn’t fit for this job.

Very helpful staff, and nice spacious rooms and toilets. Good breakfast spread as well. Located about 1 km from the Circumvesuviana station. Very impressed with the place. Tip: hire a car or a scooter to move around. There are two such services ( Hertz and Jolly) right opposite the hotel.

Good price, we paid 150E for 3 nights. Nice location, 4 blocks away from the main square Piazza Taso. Good breakfast.

The bedroom was equipped with air contioned but they didn´t let you use it. The guy at the reception, who always seemed to be annoyed by our questions, said that the temperature was OK and there was no need to use the AC. The flush toilet broke down, and since i was the maintenance guy´s day off we had to take care of it. They never offered to change us to another room. I would recomend this hotel at all.

General review

Nice hotel, very clean and tidy. Could do with more comfy chairs on the outside. Nice lounge on the third floor. Swimming pool a little small. Location and surroundings: on the edge of town. Lovely loads of shops and eating places and lots to see in the near vicinity. Service: rooms need an update but the cleaniness is amazing. Staff very friendly. Dining: Breakfast is fine. Bar facilities're great. The restaurant could do with a menu that reflects it prices. There is nobody to greet people who are interested in coming into the restaurant and while we sat there we saw a number of people walk away, where as I think they would have probably come in had someone been there to meet and greet. Sports and leisure: swimming pool small. No indoor activities. Room: No balcony but room so lovely and clean although could be updated. Bathroom fine although the shower head was a rule unto its self, forget how many times we had a wet bathroom floor, it needs attention. Hairdryer fine and good toiletries fine. Towels changed and replaced regularly. Television in room fine. Mini fridge in room but missed tea/coffee making facilities. Useful tips: There was no information booklet in room about the area which I think was a bit sad and could have been helpful.

The location, very close to the center, the stores and restaurants. The breakfast was very good.

The view wasn't that pleasant because of the specific of the area, many balconies very close to the hotel balcony, but you could see the sea, so everything bad disappeared.

Convenient to shops, train, airport bus. Great view. Very good breakfast,
